An abandoned mansion in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles has become a source of frustration for neighbors and local authorities. The once grand, 8,000 square-foot property, located at the intersection of Multiview and Mulholland drives, has fallen into disrepair and is now covered in graffiti and littered with garbage and broken glass. Neighbors have raised concerns about the safety hazards posed by the deteriorating mansion, which has been attracting taggers and squatters for over two years.

Local residents, including individuals who used to live in the neighborhood, have expressed disappointment at the state of the mansion. Despite its impressive history of housing prominent figures like singer Mary J. Blige and other high-profile personalities, the property has now become an eyesore, attracting unwanted attention from vandals and trespassers. Reports indicate that the property is owned by John Powers Middleton, known for owning another mansion in the Hollywood Hills that faced similar issues with squatters in the past.

Filmmaker Nick Sozonov, who has been documenting the graffiti on the mansion, highlighted the recent surge in tagging activities. Taggers have spray-painted messages like "Diddy was here" on the roof after learning that the rapper shot a music video at the location. The situation escalated further when eyewitnesses observed several taggers being confronted by private security as they attempted to leave the property. The Los Angeles Police Department has been called to the mansion multiple times this month, responding to reports of trespassing and vandalism.

Efforts to address the deteriorating condition of the mansion have been met with obstacles. Despite neighbors reaching out to L.A. Councilwoman Nithya Raman's office for assistance, little progress has been made in resolving the issue. The city has issued a lien on the property, and the owner, Middleton, has reportedly defaulted on property taxes for several years. In response to the ongoing concerns from the community, Raman's office has emphasized the urgency of enforcing laws to hold irresponsible property owners like Middleton accountable for maintaining their properties.
