### 49ers Aim for Return of Key Players Post Bye Week
Following a triumphant win over the Cowboys on Sunday night, the 49ers are optimistic about having star running back Christian McCaffrey available for their continued push for victories after their bye week. Head coach Kyle Shanahan provided an update on McCaffrey’s status during Monday's press conference.
Shanahan explained that McCaffrey will increase his training intensity while the team is on a break, focusing on returning to full practice before their Week 10 matchup against the Buccaneers. “He’s had no setbacks so it looks like we’re on track, but he’s going to hit it hard this week while we’re gone and simulate some practice stuff for himself,” Shanahan stated, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com. “As long as it all goes good, hopefully we’ll get him back in practice next week.”
Additionally, the team will be monitoring running back Jordan Mason, who sustained a shoulder injury during Sunday night's game. Shanahan mentioned that Mason will undergo further evaluation after the bye week.
If both McCaffrey and Mason recover as expected, the 49ers could potentially have a strengthened lineup for their game against Tampa Bay. This would be a significant boost for the team as they aim to maintain their winning momentum in the upcoming weeks.
