16-Year-Old Student Dies After Reported High School Fight

Authorities in Owasso, Oklahoma are investigating the tragic death of a 16-year-old high school student following an alleged fight at Owasso High School. Dagny Benedict, a well-loved student known for her academic excellence and passion for cooking, passed away on February 8th after being involved in the incident on February 7th.

The Bikers Against Child Abuse motorcycle club led the way to the teenager's final resting place at Ridge Lawn Cemetery in Collinsville, where friends and family gathered to pay their respects. The teen's mother, Sue Benedict, lovingly described Dagny as a tough yet wonderful individual, expressing the deep love she held for her child.

Police were notified of the situation by the teen's parent, who reported the school fight upon taking Dagny to the hospital. No prior reports of the incident were received by the authorities, leaving them to piece together the events that led to the teenager's passing. The cause of death is as yet undetermined, as medical reports and an autopsy are still pending.

Detectives are actively interviewing witnesses and investigating the circumstances surrounding the altercation to determine if any criminal charges will be brought forward in connection with the tragic loss of the young student.
