KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE - Iconic rock band KISS has been forced to cancel its highly anticipated concert in Knoxville, Tennessee on Friday, November 24, as lead vocalist Paul Stanley continues to recover from a severe case of the flu. The cancellation marks the third show affected by Stanley's illness, following the scrapping of their November 21 show in Ottawa, Canada, and their November 22 concert in Toronto.

In an official statement released via social media, KISS expressed their regrets, stating, "Due to an unforeseen illness in the band party, we are unable to perform tonight. Refunds will be available at your point of purchase." Shortly after the announcement, Ticketmaster promptly removed the concert's ticketing page from its website.

Stanley, who has been battling the flu for several days now, expressed his disappointment and personal struggle with the illness, leading to the cancelation of the shows in Canada. He stated, "Toronto and Ottawa... I've done everything possible to get onstage and be a part of the incredible 2 1/2-hour celebration we planned, but this flu has made it impossible. I, along with Gene, Tommy, and Eric, couldn't be more disappointed and send our deepest apologies."

Unfortunately, the canceled shows are not expected to be rescheduled. As part of their farewell tour, KISS is set to conclude their final runs of shows in early December. The tour is set to culminate with a monumental concert at New York's iconic Madison Square Garden, where the band's journey began over four decades ago.

KISS launched their farewell trek, known as the "End Of The Road" tour, in January 2019. However, the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to put the tour on hold in 2020. Originally scheduled to conclude on July 17, 2021, in New York City, the tour has been extended until late 2023.

The band's current lineup includes original members Paul Stanley on guitar and vocals, along with Gene Simmons on bass and vocals. They are joined by guitarist Tommy Thayer, who has been with the band since 2002, and drummer Eric Singer, who has been with the band on and off since 1991.

KISS's impact and legacy in the world of rock and roll are undeniable. Formed in 1973, the band first embarked on a "farewell" tour in 2000, which was the last to feature their original lineup, consisting of Stanley, Simmons, Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley.

Fans and music enthusiasts alike are hopeful for a speedy recovery for Paul Stanley, as they eagerly await the electrifying performances that KISS is renowned for delivering.
