Live, small flying insects were found in various areas of the establishment, including the kitchen, food preparation area, food storage area, and the bar area. These findings have raised concerns about the overall hygiene and cleanliness of the establishment.

Inspectors noted that there were a total of 23 live small flying insects resting on the wall underneath the food prep sink at the front counter food prep area. Moreover, 10 live small flying insects were found under the hand wash sink at the front counter in the food prep area. Another live small flying insect was observed flying above the triple sink around the clean utensil rack in the food prep area.

Additionally, three live small flying insects were seen resting on the wall behind the ice machine at the front counter food prep area. Notably, one live small flying insect was found crawling around the toppings at the toppings station in the food prep area.

Furthermore, a concerning accumulation of dead small flying insects was observed, with five of them discovered in the bottom of the front counter prep area two-door refrigerator. The presence of dead insects in food storage areas raises serious questions about proper cleanliness and storage practices.

Inspectors also discovered an accumulation of black mold-like substance inside the ice machine at the front counter. This unhygienic finding poses potential risks to the quality and safety of the restaurant's beverages and ice.

Yet another violation that raised concerns was the storage of food items on the floor. An opened bag of brown sugar was found stored on the floor in the storage area. Additionally, a five-gallon bucket of simple syrup and two boxes of candy were stored under the prep table in the food prep area. These improper storage practices can lead to contamination and compromise the safety of the food being served.

A food-contact surface, specifically the rim around the warmer for tapioca pearls, was found soiled with food debris. This indicates inadequate cleaning practices and raises questions about the restaurant's overall attention to cleanliness and sanitation.

Furthermore, the hand wash sink in the prep area was reported to be not accessible for employee use at all times due to a wire basket placed inside the basin. This violates health regulations, as hand hygiene is crucial in preventing foodborne illnesses.

Finally, a lapse in proper hygiene was observed with no soap being provided at the hand wash sink in the prep area. This is a significant violation, as proper handwashing with soap is a critical component of maintaining food safety and preventing the spread of bacteria.

The restaurant's management has been informed of these violations and has been advised to address them promptly to ensure the health and safety of their customers. Health officials will conduct a follow-up inspection to ensure that corrective actions have been taken. Failure to comply with health regulations may result in penalties or closure of the establishment.

It is important for restaurants to prioritize and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to protect the well-being of both employees and patrons. Customers are advised to pay attention to health inspection reports and prioritize establishments that prioritize food safety and cleanliness.
