French President Savors Exquisite Chocolate Treats During India Visit

French President Emmanuel Macron indulged in a delectable assortment of chocolate treats during his visit to India, where he attended the Republic Day celebrations as the chief guest. From an intricately crafted chocolate steam engine to an edible spiral staircase filled with assorted truffles, the President's stay at the ITC Maurya in New Delhi was certainly a treat for the senses.

Macron's culinary adventure began in Jaipur on January 25th, where he enjoyed a cup of tea with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The two leaders shared a warm moment, captured and shared by PM Modi on his Instagram, showcasing the strong bond between India and France.

Upon his arrival in Delhi to witness the Republic Day parade, the French President was welcomed with an extraordinary display of chocolate creations at the Grand Presidential Floor of ITC Maurya. One of the highlights was a chocolate steam engine, reminiscent of an old-fashioned train, complete with wagons and a railway track. Each wagon contained chocolate slabs infused with various flavors such as lavender, pistachio, white berry, pecan nut, almond milk, black currant, sunflower seed, white pearls, freeze-dried berry, hazelnut, pistachio, and a French flag-themed white chocolate slab.

Next on the culinary journey was a chocolate masterpiece in the form of a spiral staircase. Each step of the staircase was filled with tiny chocolate truffles, tantalizing the taste buds with flavors like sea salt and caramel milk, Kerala coconut with black pepper white chocolate, and thyme and raspberry dark chocolate. The truffles were beautifully arranged to resemble the colors of the French flag. Three small jars filled with chocolate-coated nuts, kasuri methi shortbread, and gud par added further indulgence to this chocolate delight.

The final chocolate creation featured a hanging chocolate clock, accompanied by a raspberry macaroon and an assortment of fresh berries including raspberry, blackberries, red currant, and blueberry. Completing the display was a Ruby chocolate cocoa nibs bar showcased on a chocolate easel stand.

These exquisite chocolate treats not only pleased the palate but also celebrated the friendship between India and France. Alongside personalized pictures and photographs of historical monuments, the chocolate creations symbolized the strong bond and cultural exchange between the two nations.

As Macron explored the culinary delights of India, his visit served as a testament to the shared love for food and the appreciation of fine craftsmanship. From tea with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to savoring these delightful chocolate creations, the French President's visit to India was truly a gastronomic adventure.
