Wolverines Sign Top-Ranked Women's Basketball Class in Program History

The University of Michigan's women's basketball program made a significant splash in recruiting on Wednesday (Nov. 8), as they announced the signing of five highly-talented players to National Letters of Intent. This class, currently ranked No. 4 by ESPN, represents the highest-ranked recruiting class in the history of the program.

Ranked as high as No. 3 in the 2024 class, Olson had an impressive junior campaign, averaging 25.6 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, earning her Class 3A Tournament MVP honors. Additionally, Olson showcased her versatility by winning the 2023 Class 3A soccer championship as the starting goalkeeper for Benilde-St. Margaret's.
Syla Swords joins Olson as another highly-touted recruit for the Wolverines. Ranked No. 11 by ESPN, she is the highest-ranked recruit in program history at the time of signing. Swords played a pivotal role in leading Long Island Lutheran to victory in the Nike Tournament of Champions in 2022, displaying her prowess by contributing across all facets of the game.
Mila Holloway, a four-star recruit according to ESPN, brings her exceptional court vision and game sense to the Wolverines. Averaging 11.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game as a junior, Holloway showcased her skills at Legacy Early College.
Aaiyanna Dunbar, honored as part of the all-district tournament team at Blackman High School, adds depth and a true post presence to the class. Her coach commended her strong work ethic and passion for the game, predicting that with the right guidance, she has the potential to reach new heights.
Te'Yala Delfosse rounds out the class as a three-star recruit from Ewing High School in New Jersey. With a history of success and an impressive high school career, Delfosse is praised for her winning mentality, versatility, and dedication to becoming a professional athlete.
