In the midst of the NFL season, fantasy football managers are eyeing the waiver wire for players who can give them the edge in their playoff push. Week 13 presents an opportunity to secure those final pieces and make a run for the championship. Here are some top targets to consider:

Quarterback Russell Wilson has been underwhelming in recent weeks, failing to reach 20 fantasy points since Week 4. However, Wilson's rushing ability and favorable upcoming matchups make him an intriguing option. With the Texans, Chargers, Lions, and Patriots on the horizon, Wilson could provide start-worthy value down the stretch.

Another quarterback to target is Derek Carr. While he hasn't had a 20-point game this season, Carr has shown glimpses of potential. Facing the struggling Lions in Week 13, Carr has an opportunity to put up solid numbers. He is also a viable streaming option in Weeks 15, 16, and 17.

Jordan Love has had an up-and-down season, but his recent performances have been promising. Averaging 23.8 fantasy points per game over the past two weeks, Love deserves consideration. While he may not be a starter in Week 13 against the Chiefs, his matchups against the Giants and Buccaneers in Weeks 14 and 15 make him a legitimate QB1 candidate.

Baker Mayfield had a disappointing Week 12 performance, but he has shown flashes of potential in recent games. Although his upcoming matchup against the Panthers is tough, he faces the Falcons and Jaguars in Weeks 14 and 16, respectively. Mayfield could be a valuable streaming option when paired with another quarterback.

At the running back position, Chuba Hubbard has reemerged as a viable option. After a stretch of lackluster performances, Hubbard had a versatile 20-point game against the Titans in Week 12. If he can maintain his receiving usage, Hubbard can be a flex-worthy player down the stretch.

As for the tight end position, Pat Freiermuth is a must-add player. Despite a slow start to the season, Freiermuth exploded in the first game after the firing of offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Leading the Steelers in targets, catches, and receiving yards, Freiermuth showcased his potential as a fantasy stud. He is worth rostering and could be a great backup option.

In the defense department, the Indianapolis Colts present a favorable schedule for the remainder of the season. With games against lesser-known quarterbacks and struggling offenses, the Colts' defense could be a solid option for fantasy managers.

As always, it's important to monitor injuries, lineup changes, and upcoming matchups before making any roster decisions. The fantasy football playoff race is heating up, and these waiver wire targets could make all the difference in the quest for a championship.
