HERRIMAN, Utah - Utah Royals FC, in collaboration with the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), has revealed its highly anticipated 2024 NWSL schedule. The expansion side's "Return of Royalty" campaign will feature a total of 26 regular-season matches, with 13 games played at home and 13 away.

The action-packed season kicks off on Saturday, March 16, at America First Field, where the Utah Royals FC will face off against the Chicago Red Stars. The campaign will culminate on Friday, November 1, with a home game against the reigning NWSL champions, Gotham FC.

Fans can now purchase various Royals FC season ticket packages and other offerings for the 2024 season, while individual game tickets will go on sale approximately a month prior to the home opener on March 16. This will mark the 15th professional soccer season to commence in Sandy, Utah, and the first NWSL season since 2019.

Head Coach Amy Rodriguez and her team will have a promising start to the season, with three out of their first four matches being played at home. During the first two months, they will host five of their first seven games, as they strive to establish themselves on the Wasatch Front.

Notable early-season fixtures include a home game against Angel City FC on Friday, May 3, which promises to be an exciting matchup. Additionally, on Sunday, June 16, Utah Royals FC will face off against the Bay FC, the league's two newest clubs, in a match featuring the top two picks from the 2024 NWSL Draft. The team will enjoy two bye weekends during the first half of the season, with no games scheduled for the weekends of April 6 and June 1. Following the CBA-mandated summer break from July 8 to mid-August, Utah Royals FC will return to action with a balanced five-home and five-away split for the final 10 games of the regular season.

The schedule also includes nationally-televised matches, with two Sunday afternoon appearances on ESPN2 - September 22 against Gotham FC and October 13 against the Seattle Reign. Additionally, four Scripps Sports matches will be televised on ION, offering fans even more opportunities to catch the action.

The 2024 NWSL regular season will conclude on Sunday, November 3, paving the way for the Quarterfinals, Semi-finals, and the NWSL Championship, which is scheduled for November 23.

With a balanced and carefully crafted schedule, the NWSL aims to avoid scheduling matches during FIFA windows and allow top players to compete both domestically and internationally. The league will also organize a tournament featuring international participants and all 14 NWSL clubs during the break for the Paris 2024 Olympics, which will run from July 15 to August 18.
