UFC and WWE Join Forces with OCVIBE Honda Center for Five-Year Partnership
ICARO Media Group
In an exciting development for sports and entertainment fans, OCVIBE Honda Center in Anaheim, California has announced a groundbreaking partnership with UFC and WWE. This first-of-its-kind five-year live event collaboration will bring a minimum of three events per year from both organizations to Honda Center until 2028.
Fans can expect a diverse range of events, including UFC's highly anticipated championship Pay Per Views and compelling Fight Nights, as well as WWE's electrifying arena shows, including their popular live TV programs such as Raw and SmackDown. This partnership will not only provide thrilling non-stop action but will also showcase the world's best mixed martial artists in UFC and the larger-than-life Superstars in WWE.
OCVIBE, the immersive sports and entertainment district surrounding Honda Center, will play a significant role in enhancing the fan experience. Immersive tech innovations, along with a wide selection of eclectic dining and nightlife options currently in development, will create unparalleled UFC fan experiences. Collaborative activities such as viewing parties will also be hosted by OCVIBE and UFC.
Bill Foltz, CEO of OCVIBE, expressed his excitement about hosting these marquee events, stating, "Hosting UFC and WWE at the iconic Honda Center allows us to bring some of the most electric live experiences to the residents of Orange County. The infectious excitement of these events will only become more powerful as we reimagine the downtown experience for Orange County at OCVIBE, creating a magnetic destination for entertainment, sports, and culture."
The partnership will kick off this President's Day weekend, with Honda Center hosting UFC 298: VOLKANOVSKI vs TOPURIA on Saturday, February 17, followed by WWE Monday Night Raw on Monday, February 19. This back-to-back schedule makes Honda Center the first venue to host consecutive UFC and WWE events since their merger under TKO Group Holdings in 2023.
Peter Dropick, Executive Vice President of UFC Event Development and Operations, praised Honda Center as one of their favorite venues and emphasized the incredible fan experiences they have facilitated over the years. He expressed confidence in OCVIBE taking the fan experience to the next level with their innovative activations around UFC and WWE events.
UFC has a long-standing relationship with Honda Center and the city of Anaheim, dating back to 2006. Honda Center has hosted some of UFC's most memorable events and holds the record for the highest-grossing event in its history, UFC 270: NGANNOU VS. GANE. This weekend's UFC 298: VOLKANOVSKI vs TOPURIA event will mark the venue's tenth UFC event, the most outside of Las Vegas in the United States.
Honda Center also has a rich history with WWE, having hosted over 60 events over the past 30 years. The upcoming Monday Night Raw on February 19 will be WWE's 64th event at the venue.
The collaboration between OCVIBE, UFC, and WWE promises to deliver unparalleled entertainment experiences in Orange County. With the immersive offerings and innovative activations in the works, fans can look forward to unforgettable moments at Honda Center for years to come.
