NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Titans will be without starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, according to coach Mike Vrabel. Tannehill sustained a right high ankle sprain in the Week 6 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens in London, which has sidelined him for the upcoming matchup.

Having hoped for Tannehill's availability, the Titans' quarterback was unable to participate in practice throughout the week due to his injury. Initially, Tannehill had a cast placed on his foot following the incident, but has since transitioned to a walking boot. Early in the week, Tannehill relied on a scooter for mobility but has now progressed to walking on his own with the aid of a compression sleeve on his lower right leg.

Coach Vrabel confirmed that both Malik Willis and Will Levis will fill in for Tannehill during the Falcons game, a decision he had hinted at during his media briefing on Tuesday. Vrabel expressed enthusiasm about watching both players perform, commending their hard work leading up to the game.

In preparation for their potential starts, Levis and Willis split practice repetitions this week and have dedicated additional time with the wide receivers in the meeting room. Notably, neither quarterback has been informed of the exact starter, with the coaching staff instructing both players to prepare as if they will be getting the nod.

Reflecting on the opportunity, Levis expressed excitement, stating, "I'm pumped. This is the game I love, I'm excited to go out there and play ball." Willis, on the other hand, maintained a focused mindset, emphasizing the importance of execution and readiness when called upon. "You just try to go out and execute when you're called upon. Just be ready to go when you get an opportunity and take advantage of it," Willis stated.

As the Titans prepare to face the Falcons without Tannehill under center, the team remains hopeful that their backup quarterbacks, Willis and Levis, will step up and deliver a strong performance in his absence. The game will provide a chance for both players to showcase their abilities and contribute to the team's success.
