The Syracuse Orange are gearing up to face off against the USF Bulls in the highly anticipated Boca Raton Bowl tomorrow night at 8pm. With both teams vying for their seventh victory of the season, fans can expect an exciting and closely contested matchup. The latest odds from DraftKings Sportsbook have shifted in favor of Syracuse, who are now listed as three-point favorites. The over-under for the game is set at 56.5 points.

SU released an updated depth chart, revealing the players who will be taking the field in the bowl game. Notably absent from the lineup is quarterback Garrett Shrader, who recently underwent surgery to repair a shoulder injury that he had been playing through since October. As a result, redshirt freshman Braden Davis has been listed as the team's number one quarterback. However, there is also a possibility of seeing tight end Dan Villari and running back LeQuint Allen taking snaps in the Wildcat formation, as they did in the final three weeks of the regular season.

In terms of offense, wide receiver Donovan Brown has re-emerged as an important player for the Orange after Isaiah Jones entered the transfer portal. Despite being the team's third-leading receiver in terms of yardage, Brown saw limited playing time in the second half of the season, catching only three passes out of 25 from Week 7 onwards. However, with the additional practice sessions leading up to the bowl game, Brown is expected to be back in form and ready to start in the slot position.

The Boca Raton Bowl will mark the final college game for 6th-year offensive guard Chris Bleich, who has been a starter for the Orange over the past three seasons. Bleich has been recognized with numerous ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week awards during his tenure at Syracuse and will be aiming to end his college career on a high note.

On the defensive side, the Orange will have their three captains, corner back Isaiah Johnson, linebacker Marlowe Wax, and safety Justin Barron, leading the charge. While Johnson's eligibility is coming to an end, it is a pleasant surprise to see Wax and Barron listed as starters, as it means they have deferred their NFL Draft considerations for at least one more week. Both Wax and Barron have been pivotal in Syracuse's defense this season, with Wax racking up four forced fumbles, an interception, and four sacks, and Barron contributing with three forced fumbles, an interception, and 82 tackles.

The Orange defense will also rely on the experience of defensive linemen Kevon Darton and Caleb Okechukwu. Despite being labeled as "undersized", Darton has consistently generated pressure on opposing quarterbacks, recording five sacks this season, while Okechukwu has been a leader on the defensive line throughout his final year at Syracuse.

Syracuse's key focus will be containing the USF Bulls' explosive true freshman quarterback, Byrum Brown, who has showcased his dual-threat abilities by throwing for over 3,000 yards, rushing for 745 more, and accounting for 34 total touchdowns. Brown's favorite target, Sean Atkins, is also nearing impressive milestones, as he is just four catches and 39 yards away from reaching 90 receptions and 1,000 receiving yards for the season.

While the Bulls' defense is expected to be at full strength, they have struggled throughout the season. With the reported departure of offensive coordinator Jason Beck, it is likely that Mike Lynch will assume the role for this game. Lynch previously held the position in both 2018 and 2019, bringing familiarity to the offensive scheme. The game plan for Syracuse remains to be seen, with speculation ranging from sticking to the "ThunderCat" approach to adopting a more streamlined strategy similar to Week 13.

With their hard work and determination, Syracuse hopes to end the season on a high note and secure a final victory in the Boca Raton Bowl.
