In an exciting turn of events for Ohio State football fans, standout running back Quinshon Judkins has announced his commitment to join the Buckeyes. Judkins, considered one of the top available players in the transfer portal, made his decision public right after the conclusion of a game in Houston.

With his commitment, Judkins expressed his enthusiasm for becoming part of the Ohio State football program. The talented running back is eager to contribute to the team's winning culture, with a specific goal in mind - to defeat their long-time rival, known as "Team Up North," and bring home a Big Ten championship and a National Championship to Columbus.

One of the reasons Judkins chose Ohio State was the special camaraderie among running backs at the university. He recognized the opportunity to join this unique "RB brotherhood" and believes he can play a vital role in achieving championship success while developing as a student-athlete.

Judkins will be joining a strong transfer portal class, which includes notable players like former Kansas State quarterback Will Howard, former Ohio tight end Will Kacmarek, and former Alabama center Seth McLaughlin.

Hailing from Alabama, Judkins stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs 210 pounds. As a 3-star prospect, he had an impressive season as a running back for Ole Miss, earning first-team All-SEC honors. Judkins showcased his skills by rushing for 1,158 yards on 271 carries, averaging 4.3 yards per carry, and scoring 15 touchdowns. Additionally, he contributed to the passing game, recording 22 receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

Judkins' talent caught the attention of prominent football programs across the country, including Florida, Texas, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Kentucky, and more. However, Ohio State successfully secured his commitment. With the departure of running backs Miyan Williams and Chip Trayanum, Judkins is expected to play a pivotal role in revitalizing the Buckeyes' running back room along with Dallas Hayden.

While awaiting the plans of former 5-star recruit TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State has also made promising additions in its 2024 class with running backs Sam Williams-Dixon and James Peoples, further strengthening their offensive backfield.

With Quinshon Judkins joining their ranks, Ohio State is poised to make a significant impact in the college football landscape, aiming for championship glory in the seasons to come.
