This weekend, the Ohio State Buckeyes are set to host a group of highly-touted football recruits as they continue their efforts to build an impressive roster for the future. While the number of recruits may be smaller compared to previous weekends hosting Penn State and Michigan State, the talent on display is certainly not lacking.
Leading the list of visiting prospects is Carlon Jones, who will be making his first official visit to Ohio State. Jones, who committed to Nebraska in June, received a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes in October. The talented athlete previously received offers from schools such as TCU, Cal, Oklahoma State, and Georgia Tech. Despite his commitment to Nebraska, there is speculation that Jones may consider a flip to Ohio State due to his excitement over the offer.
Another notable visitor is Dorian Brew, an Ohio State legacy with a strong interest in the Buckeyes. Although Brew has relocated to Texas, he has previously attended games at Ohio Stadium this season and is eager to reconnect with his home state team.
Christopher Burgess Jr., a highly sought-after defensive end target for Ohio State, will be making his third visit to the university, but this time, he will have the opportunity to witness the Buckeyes in action on the field. Burgess Jr. has a pivotal decision ahead, as he plans to announce his college choice at the All-American Bowl on January 6.
Joining the visiting prospects is Na'eem Offord, a 5-star cornerback considered one of the top prospects in the country. Offord holds a lengthy list of impressive scholarship offers, including Alabama, LSU, and USC. His presence on campus is a significant development, highlighting Ohio State's appeal to top-tier recruits from across the nation.
Additionally, Julian Lewis, the current No. 1 overall 2026 prospect, will also be in attendance. Despite his commitment to USC, Lewis has expressed ongoing interest in exploring other schools, including Ohio State.
Notably, other prospects such as 2024 quarterback Ty Brown from Texas and local talents like 2025 wide receiver Jackson Wiley, 2025 linebacker Cal Thrush, and 2026 defensive back/athlete Kaden Gebhardt will also be present at Ohio State's game today.
As the Buckeyes continue their recruitment efforts, this weekend's visitors highlight the program's ability to attract top talent from various regions. With the presence of highly-rated recruits and committed players, Ohio State aims to solidify their status as a college football powerhouse for years to come.
