Several former Ohio State Buckeyes made their presence felt in the final week of the NFL regular season, making big plays and reaching significant milestones. Here's a roundup of the standout moments from these Buckeyes in Week 18:

In a dominant victory, Olave of the New Orleans Saints had three catches for 56 yards, capping off his second NFL season with an impressive stat line of 87 catches for 1,123 yards and five touchdowns. He surpassed his rookie-year numbers, showcasing his growth and potential as a top receiver.

Meanwhile, Washington Commanders' star receiver Terry McLaurin reached a remarkable milestone by surpassing 1,000 receiving yards for the fourth consecutive season. In their season finale against the Dallas Cowboys, McLaurin caught a screen pass from quarterback Sam Howell and turned it into a 15-yard gain, reaching the quadruple-digit mark. McLaurin finished the season with 79 catches for 1,002 yards and four touchdowns, becoming the first player in Washington's franchise history to achieve this feat for four straight seasons.

Joining McLaurin in the 1,000-yard club were fellow Buckeyes Garrett Wilson and Olave. Wilson, playing for the New York Jets, finished his second NFL season with 95 catches for 1,042 yards, with two catches for 34 yards in the season finale. Both Wilson and Olave have already established themselves as dynamic playmakers early in their NFL careers.

On the defensive side, Eli Apple made crucial plays for the Miami Dolphins against the Buffalo Bills. Apple intercepted a pass in the end zone, denying the Bills a potential scoring opportunity on their opening drive. He also teamed up with fellow Buckeye and Dolphins linebacker Jerome Baker to make a touchdown-saving tackle just before halftime, preventing the Bills from adding more points. Despite their efforts, the Dolphins fell to the Bills 21-14.

The NFL playoffs will feature a strong Buckeye presence, as 20 players from Ohio State are on the active rosters of playoff-bound teams. Every playoff team except the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers, who secured the No. 1 seeds in their respective conferences, will participate in the Wild Card round.

Among the notable playoff-bound Buckeyes are Denzel Ward, Ronnie Hickman, and Luke Wypler of the Cleveland Browns, Taylor Decker, Jonah Jackson, and Jake McQuaide of the Detroit Lions, and C.J. Stroud, Noah Brown, and Cameron Johnston of the Houston Texans.

As the regular season concludes, it is evident that Ohio State continues to produce top-tier talent for the NFL. The Buckeyes' impact on the league is undeniable, with their former players excelling in various positions and making significant contributions to their respective teams.
