In a recent episode of their podcast "New Heights," Jason Kelce, older brother of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, expressed his disapproval of Travis' behavior during the Super Bowl. Jason, who won a Super Bowl himself with the Philadelphia Eagles six years ago, stated that Travis had "crossed the line" when he bumped into their head coach, Andy Reid, in the middle of the game.

During the podcast episode, Jason Kelce, who announced his intention to retire last month, voiced his dissatisfaction with his brother's actions. He deemed Travis' behavior as "not acceptable," emphasizing that both of them could agree on that point. Travis acknowledged the error of his actions, confessing that he had become overly fired up during the game to the point where he unintentionally bumped Coach Reid, causing him to lose his balance.

Jason went on to criticize the excessive yelling in his brother's face, considering it as "over the top." He suggested that there were better ways to handle the situation in retrospect. However, Travis expressed his deep admiration for Coach Reid, affirming that he loves playing for him and being a product of his coaching career. Travis even went as far as saying that if the 65-year-old coach were to retire this year, he would follow suit.

The incident occurred during Super Bowl LVIII when Travis Kelce aggressively confronted Coach Reid after a fumble by Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco in the second quarter of the game. The physical contact caused the coach to nearly lose his balance. In postgame comments, Coach Reid explained that the contact was worse than it appeared because he did not see Travis coming. Nevertheless, Coach Reid understood Travis' passion for the game and his desire to help the team win, acknowledging their mutual understanding despite the physical altercation.

Ultimately, the incident proved to be insignificant as the Chiefs rallied to secure a thrilling 25-22 victory in overtime. Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. credited Travis Kelce's halftime speech for inspiring the team's comeback after being down 10-3 against the San Francisco 49ers. Hardman described Travis' speech as a motivational spark that rejuvenated the team's performance in the second half of the game.

While the incident between Travis Kelce and Coach Reid created a moment of tension during the Super Bowl, it ultimately did not overshadow the Chiefs' triumphant win. As the team reflects on their victory and plans for the future, it remains to be seen how Travis Kelce's actions will be addressed and whether any disciplinary actions will be taken.
