Pasadena, CA - The Pasadena Police Department has initiated an investigation following allegations of theft at the locker room during the Colorado football team's game against UCLA at the Rose Bowl on Saturday. According to Lisa Derderian, the public information officer for the Pasadena Police Department, several players and coaches reported the disappearance of money and jewelry.
The claims were made by multiple individuals, including safety Cam'Ron Silmon-Craig, whose statement was captured in a video released by Well Off Media, a YouTube channel operated by Deion Sanders Jr., which provides daily coverage of the Colorado football program. Silmon-Craig expressed his frustration, stating, "You're gonna play football and know your s- safe. That joint messed up."
In response to the alleged thefts, the Pasadena Police Department promptly filed a report. As of now, there has been no comment from a Colorado spokesperson regarding the incident. However, Darius Sanders, who bears no relation to Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders and his two sons on the team, documented the program on another YouTube channel and revealed in a video posted on Monday that he had "multiple thousands of dollars" stolen from his bag in the locker room.
One player stated that their jewelry had been taken from inside a jewelry box within the locker room. The theft has raised concerns about the safety and security in such environments.
UCLA coach Chip Kelly, addressing the situation during a press conference following his team's 28-16 victory over the Buffaloes, expressed his sympathy, stating, "That's awful for anybody. You would think that when you go anywhere, your valuables are safe."
Authorities are now actively investigating the alleged thefts, and further details about the incident are expected to emerge in due course.
The investigation into the thefts at the Colorado football locker room has left players and coaches concerned about the security measures in place. The Pasadena Police Department is taking the matter seriously and has launched a thorough investigation into the alleged theft of money and jewelry.
