Former South Carolina Gamecock Jaheim Bell Shines in First Season with Florida State Seminoles

In a remarkable display of talent and versatility, tight end Jaheim Bell has made a significant impact in his debut season with the Florida State Seminoles. After spending three seasons with the South Carolina Gamecocks, Bell transferred to Florida State and showcased his skills on the field.
During his time with the Seminoles, Bell made 39 receptions for 503 yards and two touchdowns. Not only did he excel in the passing game, but he also contributed with a rushing touchdown in the season opener against the LSU Tigers.
Known as the No. 1 tight end and the 8th overall player in 247Sports transfer ratings, Bell left an indelible mark at South Carolina as well. In his three seasons with the Gamecocks, he played in 30 games, making 56 catches for 757 yards and seven touchdowns. Additionally, he made an impact on the ground with 80 rushing attempts for 301 yards and three touchdowns.
Bell holds the top-two tight end receiving yards totals in South Carolina history. One of his standout performances was against North Carolina, where he achieved a career-high 159 receiving yards. Another notable display of his skills came against Vanderbilt, where he recorded 136 receiving yards.
For his stellar performance in the 2021 Duke's Mayo Bowl, Bell was named to the Associated Press All-Bowl Team. He made a career-high five receptions for 159 yards and two touchdowns, including impressive 66-yard and 69-yard catches on South Carolina's first two possessions.
Throughout his college career, Bell has consistently proved himself to be a valuable asset to any team he plays for. In the 2022 season, he appeared in 12 games, making 25 receptions for 231 yards and two touchdowns, while also contributing 261 rushing yards and three touchdowns. His rushing yards ranked second among the Gamecocks, and his receiving yards were third on the team.
In the 2021 season, Bell played in all 13 games, recording 30 catches for 497 yards and five receiving touchdowns. He made a career-long 82-yard touchdown grab against Vanderbilt, which was part of a six-reception, 136-yard performance. Bell also had a 22-yard kickoff return in that game.
During his freshman season, Bell made his mark with a 29-yard catch against Ole Miss. He was recognized for his achievements both on and off the field, earning a spot on the 2021 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll and the 2020 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
Ranked as the 17th-best athlete nationally in the Class of 2020 by 247Sports Composite, Bell showcased his potential early in his career. Unfortunately, his final year at Valdosta High School was cut short due to injury, but not before he contributed over 1,000 all-purpose yards.
