In an ongoing controversy surrounding Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, Ford Motor Co., the future engine supplier for Red Bull, has stated that it is awaiting the outcome of an investigation into the alleged inappropriate behavior. While Ford remains committed to holding high moral standards, it is the first of Red Bull's existing partners to comment on the matter.

Mark Rushbrook, global head of Ford Performance Motorsport, addressed the issue at Daytona International Speedway, emphasizing the company's expectation of integrity and behavior from its partners. Rushbrook acknowledged that Red Bull is taking the situation seriously and conducting an independent investigation to protect its brand. However, he emphasized that Ford would await the investigation's conclusion before further comment.

Christian Horner, who has been defiant in denying the claims of misconduct made against him, asserted that it is "business as normal" during the team's car launch for the upcoming Formula 1 season. He fully denies the allegations and is cooperating with the ongoing process. Red Bull Energy, the parent company, initiated the investigation initially focusing on Horner's "aggressive management style." However, as time has passed, unverified reports have emerged suggesting the allegations involve sexual misconduct.

The Formula 1 industry has been filled with speculation and gossip over the past two weeks, with Dutch media outlets being the primary sources of unsubstantiated claims. There are also murmurs that reigning world champion Max Verstappen and his father, Jos, may be connected to the leaks. Max Verstappen himself, while unveiling the team's new car, maintained that his relationship with Horner remains "very good."

Christian Horner, a 50-year-old veteran in Formula 1, has been Red Bull's team principal since the team's entry into the sport in 2005. He has led the team to remarkable success, winning six constructors' championships and seven drivers' championships. Verstappen, under Horner's guidance, has secured the drivers' title for the past three seasons, and the team dominated the majority of races in 2021, winning 21 out of 22.

As the investigation into Christian Horner's alleged behavior continues, the future partnership between Red Bull and Ford Motor Co. hangs in the balance, with Ford eagerly awaiting the outcome before making any further decisions or statements.
