The final regular season Pac-12 women's basketball game between the Oregon Ducks and the Arizona Wildcats will be played in an empty arena, due to weather conditions and concerns for public safety. The Oregon Ducks announced that the game, scheduled for Sunday at 12 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena, will not be open to fans.

In light of this decision, ticket credits will be provided to those who had purchased tickets. Season ticket holders will see the credit on their season ticket renewal, while other fans will be able to use the credit for any Oregon athletics event through June, according to an announcement from the university.

This comes after Saturday night's men's basketball game between Oregon and Cal, which saw a total attendance of 6,748 despite adverse weather conditions including snow and freezing rain in Eugene.

The Oregon Ducks, currently standing at a 10-7 overall record and a 1-3 record in the Pac-12, are coming off a 65-53 victory over Arizona State on Friday. Meanwhile, the Arizona Wildcats, with a 10-6 overall record and a 2-2 record in conference play, suffered a 73-70 defeat against Oregon State in their last game.

With the Ducks holding a 46-32 lead in the all-time series between the two teams, the upcoming game will be crucial for both squads as they look to break the tie in their recent head-to-head meetings. The previous two seasons have seen the teams split the series, with each team emerging victorious on their home court.

Although disappointed fans will not be able to attend the game, the decision has been made with their safety in mind. The focus now shifts to the game itself, as both Oregon and Arizona battle it out for a favorable position in the Pac-12 standings.
