In a recent interview, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green spoke openly about his therapy sessions and his return to the court after a suspension. Green's therapy sessions have been praised by the player as a pivotal step towards improving his temperament and addressing the challenges he has faced both on and off the court.

Breaking his silence on January 9th, Green revealed that his therapist wasted no time in getting to the heart of the matter. Acknowledging the media attention surrounding Green's suspension, the therapist asked how Green truly felt and what he was thinking. The player emphasized that he was not undergoing therapy to simply appease public opinion, but rather to genuinely work on himself – a crucial realization that kickstarted the past four weeks of his journey.

Support for Green's decision to focus on himself during the summer rather than playing for Team USA came from Jerry Colangelo, managing director of USA Basketball. Colangelo expressed understanding and respect for the challenges that Green is going through, both on and off the court. It was determined that skipping the summer games would give Green the best opportunity to focus on his personal growth.

Since returning from his suspension, Green has played in one game – the Warriors' surprising loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on January 15th. The team has not played any games since then, as they tragically suffered the loss of assistant coach Dejan Milojevic, who passed away from a heart attack during a team dinner in Salt Lake City.

Green and the Warriors are set to return to action against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night at Chase Center. Though Green is not part of the 41-man USA Basketball roster, his teammate Steph Curry is. Coach Steve Kerr will lead the final 12-man roster to Paris before stepping aside to allow a new coach to take over.

With the 2028 Summer Olympics approaching, speculations arise that this could be Green's last opportunity to win a third gold medal. At 38 years old by then, Green may be nearing the end of his NBA career, making this chance all the more meaningful for him.

As Green continues to work on himself both on and off the court, his honesty about therapy and his commitment to personal growth are admirable. Fans will undoubtedly be supporting him on his journey as he strives to improve his temperament and contribute to the success of the Golden State Warriors.
