In a surprising turn of events, UFC President Dana White expressed his astonishment at Francis Ngannou's ability to go the distance in a ten-round boxing match against Tyson Fury. Despite recently parting ways with the UFC, Ngannou's remarkable performance left a lasting impression on White.

The crossover boxing match took place this past Saturday in Saudi Arabia, and not only did Ngannou manage to last the full ten rounds with the WBC heavyweight champion, but he also succeeded in knocking Fury down. Many spectators believed that Ngannou had won the match, further emphasizing the incredible feat he had achieved.

Though White had previously closed the door on Ngannou's return to the UFC, he couldn't help but acknowledge and commend the former heavyweight champion's tremendous effort in the ring. Speaking on Donald Trump Jr.'s Triggered podcast, White expressed his amazement, saying, "I didn't see the fight, but the fact that he went ten rounds with Tyson Fury is crazy. It's unbelievable."

White drew comparisons to previous fights involving top UFC fighters, highlighting the impressive results they had achieved in the boxing realm. "Conor (McGregor) made it nine or ten rounds with Floyd. Anthony Pettis recently defeated Roy Jones Jr., even though Roy is friggin' 60 years old or whatever. I don't know what the hell is going on. It's just crazy," White explained.

When questioned about the potential negative impact of Ngannou's boxing success on the UFC, White dismissed any concerns. He stated, "I don't care. Everyone eventually moves on. People have to do what's right for them and provide for their families, so they'll do whatever they've got to do."

White has been a vocal critic of the boxing industry, to the extent that he contemplated launching his own boxing promotion called Zuffa Boxing. He cited numerous issues within the sport, including corruption and lack of financial control. "It's not just the corruption - you can't build a business off it," White responded. "The key to having something is building a business. We successfully did that with fighting, but it's near impossible with boxing. It's just too chaotic."
