American teenager Isabeau Levito made a stunning debut at the Grand Prix de France figure skating competition, winning her first major international title at just 16 years old. Levito's impressive performance enabled her to secure qualification for the Grand Prix Final in December.

Despite finishing third in the Free Skate, Levito's total score of 203.22 was enough to claim victory in the competition. In an interview with Olympics.com, Levito expressed her pride in improving her results from last season and stated that winning one of the Grands Prix was her goal to secure her place in the Final.

Levito, who held a five-point lead after the Short Program the previous day, faced some challenges during her Free Skate in Angers, France. However, the underwhelming performances by the top three skaters from the Short Program allowed her to maintain her lead and clinch the title.

With this win, Levito becomes the first American woman to win a Grand Prix since Ashley Wager's victory at Skate America in 2016. Her achievement marks a significant milestone for American figure skating and demonstrates the talent and potential of young skaters like Levito.

The Grand Prix de France is the third event in the six-event series, with Levito's victory setting up the possibility of a clean sweep by the United States this weekend. The competition continues with fellow American teenager Ilia Malinin competing in the men's Free Skate. After a strong performance in the Short Program, Malinin currently holds the first-place position.

The success of Levito and the performances of other American skaters in the Grand Prix series highlight the talent and depth of the United States' figure skating program. As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Levito and other rising stars as they strive for continued success on the international stage.
