In a thrilling second-half comeback, the Alabama football team secured a victory against Tennessee at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday. The Crimson Tide's impressive performance has solidified their position in the US LBM Coaches Top 25 poll, maintaining their No. 8 ranking for another week.

The coaches poll, which takes into account the votes of 66 FBS head coaches, including Alabama's own Nick Saban, showcased the team's consistency. Although their highest ranking on any ballot this week was No. 3, and the lowest was No. 12, Alabama remained in the same spot as last week, tied with Texas at No. 8.

Tennessee, on the other hand, experienced a significant drop in the rankings following their loss against Alabama. The Volunteers, previously ranked 15th, now find themselves at No. 20 in the coaches poll.

In addition to the coaches poll, Alabama also made a positive stride in the Associated Press media poll. The Crimson Tide climbed two spots, now sitting at No. 9 after being ranked No. 11 last week. The team's upward movement can partially be attributed to underperformances from schools above them.

Penn State, who was ranked sixth in the coaches poll, suffered a 20-12 defeat against Ohio State, resulting in a drop to No. 10 in both the coaches and media polls. Similarly, North Carolina, who held the No. 10 spot in the media poll last week, fell to No. 17 after losing to Virginia.

Saturday's game against Tennessee started off on a shaky note for Alabama. The team found themselves trailing 20-6 at halftime, with Tennessee capitalizing on multiple opportunities to extend their lead.

However, when the Crimson Tide took the field for the second half, the tide turned in their favor. A stellar 29-yard run by Jase McClellan, followed by a remarkable 46-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Milroe to Isaiah Bond, allowed Alabama to close the gap, igniting a remarkable comeback.

Alabama will now enjoy a well-deserved bye week, giving them time to rest and regroup for their next game on November 4th. With their strong performance against Tennessee and their consistent ranking in the polls, the Crimson Tide are poised to continue their successful season.
