In an exclusive report, it has been revealed that Universal Studios is actively searching for a new director to helm the highly anticipated next installment of the Jurassic World franchise. According to Deadline, talks with director David Leitch have come to an end, with both parties parting ways on amicable terms.

The split is said to be due to differing creative visions between the studio and Leitch. Consequently, Universal is now faced with the task of finding a suitable replacement director for the film, which remains on track for its scheduled release on July 2, 2025.

With the departure of David Leitch, the directorial vacancy has become an enticing opportunity for filmmakers in the industry. The upcoming Jurassic World movie, which aims to bring a fresh perspective to the beloved Jurassic era, will be a departure from the previous films.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that the film will not include familiar faces such as Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who starred in the previous Jurassic World installments. Likewise, fan-favorite actors from the original Jurassic Park trilogy, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill, will not be making an appearance.

On the creative front, Universal has enlisted the talents of David Koepp to write the script for the new film. Koepp's involvement is particularly significant as he played a crucial role in the success of the original Jurassic Park films, having penned the first two.

The film will be executive produced by none other than Steven Spielberg himself, through his production company, Amblin Entertainment. Joining him in the producing duties will be Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley.

The Jurassic franchise continues to be a box office powerhouse, having grossed over $6 billion worldwide across its six movies. The most recent installment, Jurassic World: Dominion, which was released in 2022, surpassed the $1 billion mark at the global box office, reaffirming the enduring popularity of the dinosaur-filled world.

As Universal embarks on its directorial search and prepares to build a fresh and captivating cinematic experience, fans of the Jurassic World franchise eagerly await the announcement of the film's new director and the next chapter in the thrilling dinosaur saga.
