Renowned actor Ranbir Kapoor, along with co-stars Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna, producer Bhushan Kumar, and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, unveiled the highly anticipated trailer of their action thriller film, Animal, in New Delhi on Thursday. The trailer showcased a captivating and high-octane action sequence, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the film's release.
During the launch event, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about the challenges he faced while working on the film and how it affected his personal life. He revealed that his daughter Raha was born during the shoot of Animal, and as his character demanded intense focus, he had to struggle with balancing his role on set and his responsibilities at home.
"The switching on and switching off part was very important because when I was starting Animal, I became a father. Raha was born. I was going on set, doing all these things, and going home, and seeing my daughter was surreal," Kapoor shared. He emphasized the importance of compartmentalizing his character and personal life, stating that he is a detached person and never brings his character home to ensure fairness towards his loved ones.
The film, which centers around an individual's fierce transformation due to a violent upbringing and obsession with paternal love, tapped into Kapoor's intense acting abilities. Despite the demands of his role, Kapoor managed to successfully transition between the intense on-screen persona and the loving father and husband he is in real life.
Reflecting on the experience, Kapoor expressed gratitude for being inspired by his role and emphasized the ease with which he could perform when driven by inspiration. "When you're inspired, aapka kaam aasani se ho jaata hai," he said. The dedication and commitment displayed by Kapoor enabled the film to be wrapped up in just under 100 days.
The Animal trailer also introduced Rashmika Mandanna as Kapoor's love interest, while Bobby Deol left a lasting impression with his stylish and menacing portrayal of the antagonist. The film, which promises to explore the complex bond between a father and son, is set to release on December 1 nationwide. Additionally, it will be released in five languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
However, Animal will face tough competition at the box office, as it will be released alongside Vicky Kaushal's highly anticipated film, Sam Bahadur. Fans of both actors eagerly await the clash of these promising releases, adding to the excitement and anticipation in the coming months.
Ranbir Kapoor's dedication and commitment to his craft, showcased in Animal, demonstrate his ability to deliver compelling performances while balancing his personal life. As the film prepares for its release, fans anticipate an intense and engaging cinematic experience, highlighted by Kapoor's transformative role.
