In the latest development of Kelly Clarkson's high-profile divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, it has been revealed that Blackstock has been ordered to return a staggering $2.6 million to the pop star. The repayment is a result of Blackstock reportedly overcharging Clarkson by millions while representing her as a manager. The couple, who were married for nearly seven years and share two children, finalized their divorce settlement last year.

The divorce settlement, which initially included a one-time payment of $1.3 million from Clarkson to Blackstock, also outlined monthly payments of $195,601 for child and spousal support. Blackstock is estimated to earn approximately $14 million from the divorce, taking into account child support payments until their children reach adulthood.

The revelation of Blackstock's overcharging came as a surprise in the legal proceedings. As Clarkson's former manager, he had allegedly collected excessive fees for booking jobs on her behalf, including her role as a judge on The Voice. A California labor commissioner ruled that Blackstock had acted unlawfully and ordered him to repay $2,641,374 to the pop star, which included $1.98 million for The Voice gig.

Despite the financial setback, Blackstock, who is known for managing prominent country acts such as Blake Shelton and Rascal Flatts, has a reported net worth of $10 million. On the other hand, Clarkson, who has had a successful music career, hosted The Kelly Clarkson Show, and written children's books, boasts a net worth of approximately $45 million.

The couple's real estate assets were also a source of contention during the divorce. Clarkson's impressive portfolio included properties in California and Tennessee, as well as a massive 5,700-acre ranch in Montana, which was the subject of considerable negotiation. Ultimately, Clarkson agreed to give Blackstock a five percent share of the Montana ranch, valued at $17.75 million, amounting to $908,800.

The final settlement terms state that Clarkson will pay Blackstock a monthly spousal support of $115,000 until January 2024, along with monthly child support of $45,601 for their two children. They will share joint custody, with the children primarily residing with Clarkson in Los Angeles and visiting Blackstock in Montana. Furthermore, Blackstock will pay $2,000 per month in rent to Clarkson until he moves out of the Montana ranch in June.

The bitter divorce battle between Clarkson and Blackstock has been closely followed by the media and their fans. With the recent order for Blackstock to repay $2.6 million and the details of their extensive assets, it remains to be seen how this high-profile split will continue to unfold.
