In a heartfelt video shared on his Instagram account, former WWE superstar Patrick Clark, better known as The Velveteen Dream, has issued a sincere apology for his past behavior. Clark, who was released by WWE in 2021 after facing allegations of inappropriate contact with minors, took full accountability for his actions over the last three years.

"I want to apologize for my behavior, both professionally and personally... I take full accountability for my behavior over the last three years of my life. When narratives were written about me, it doesn't matter, it didn't matter what was written about me, it didn't matter what was said about me, it doesn't matter what's on the internet about me. I was wrong," Clark expressed in the video.

The former wrestling star went on to apologize to WWE as an organization, expressing regret for any unwanted attention and negative press he may have brought upon their product. He specifically addressed WWE fans and his own supporters as well. "I want to apologize to the WWE fans and The Velveteen Dream fans because when you hear the [Velveteen Dream] it should have only been spoken about in a productive and positive light," he stated.

Clark acknowledged that his past actions reflected a combination of immaturity and the consequences of fame and opportunity. He further extended his apologies to WWE legends Triple H and Shawn Michaels, thanking them for the opportunities they had given him and expressing regret for any time that may have been wasted.

Continuing his message, Clark acknowledged his ongoing personal growth and apologized to his family, friends, and anyone who may have been affected by his behavior. "No one should have to explain anything for Patrick Clark... I don't want you to feel burdened with that responsibility, that's my responsibility. I apologize to you all for any negative energy that has had to come your way because of me," he declared.

In his closing remarks, The Velveteen Dream expressed remorse to anyone he had upset or offended through his actions. He sincerely hoped for forgiveness from those he had harmed and promised to continue learning and growing from his past mistakes.

It remains to be seen how this public apology will be received by the wrestling community and fans of The Velveteen Dream. Clark's journey towards personal redemption will likely be closely monitored, as he strives to move forward and leave behind the controversies of the past.

As of yet, neither WWE nor any representatives of the wrestling industry have publicly responded to Clark's apology. However, this candid plea for forgiveness serves as a reminder that even within the glitz and glamour of professional wrestling, individuals are confronted with the consequences of their actions.
