Former Miss Mississippi USA, Bailey Garriga, had a dream-like wedding on October 21, at the enchanting White House Hotel located on Highway 90 in Biloxi. The ceremony was made even more memorable with a surprise performance by country singer-songwriter, Lee Greenwood.

Bailey, a Hurley native, exchanged vows with her middle school sweetheart, Will Garriga. The couple, who have been together since they were just 13 years old, hail from Hurley and are proud graduates of East Central High School.

Bailey, now known as Bailey Garriga, gained recognition when she was crowned Miss Mississippi USA in 2021. This achievement also marked a significant milestone for Jackson County, as Bailey became the first Miss Mississippi USA from the county since 1984. Alongside her pageant success, Bailey is a dedicated newborn nurse at Providence Hospital in Mobile.

During her reign as Miss Mississippi USA, Bailey developed a close friendship with Kim Greenwood, wife of country singer Lee Greenwood. Kim, herself a former beauty pageant titleholder, serves as the director of the Miss Georgia USA, Miss Tennessee USA, and Miss Mississippi USA pageants. It was through this connection that Lee Greenwood was invited to perform on Bailey and Will's special day.

The wedding ceremony was an extravagant affair, with Bailey surrounded by 17 bridesmaids. Among them were esteemed former beauty queens such as Miss Rhode Island USA, Miss Tennessee USA, Miss Maryland USA, Miss South Carolina USA, and two former Miss Mississippi Teen USAs.

The highlight of the evening came when Lee Greenwood took the stage to perform his iconic song, 'God Bless the USA,' much to the surprise and delight of the reception crowd. As the heartfelt lyrics filled the air, Bailey and Will shared a romantic dance that will surely be etched in their memories forever.
