In a disturbing turn of events for music mogul Diddy, two additional sexual assault lawsuits have emerged following the initial lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend Cassie. The billionaire, known as "Brother Love," now finds himself entangled in a web of serious allegations that span over three decades.
On Thanksgiving Day, CNN reported that Joi Dickerson-Neal came forward, accusing Diddy of drugging and assaulting her while they were both attending Syracuse University in 1991. According to Dickerson-Neal's account, the two went out to dinner, during which Diddy allegedly slipped a drug into her drink while she was briefly in the bathroom. As they left the restaurant, he reportedly pressured her to smoke a "blunt" in the car.
Dickerson-Neal claims that upon reaching their destination that evening, Diddy sexually assaulted her, filmed the act, and showed the footage to multiple individuals. Another woman, who remains unidentified, also alleged that she was sexually assaulted by the Bad Boy founder, although it is unclear whether the incident occurred in 1990 or 1991. The assault is said to have taken place at the apartment of R&B singer Aaron Hall, with both Diddy and Hall allegedly involved.
In a shocking twist, the third lawsuit claims that Diddy visited the plaintiff's home a few days later, assaulting and choking her until she lost consciousness. The suit contends that Diddy was attempting to silence her from revealing the truth to a girl he was dating at the time.
Diddy's spokespersons have vehemently denied all the allegations, dismissing them as baseless and motivated by financial gain. "This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law can be turned on its head," one spokesperson stated. Referring to Joi Dickerson-Neal's claims, they asserted that her 32-year-old story is fabricated and lacking credibility. They further argued that the allegations included non-existent companies, suggesting a profit-seeking approach from the plaintiff.
Similar in sentiment, Diddy's legal team spoke out against the other lawsuit, characterizing it as an opportunistic pursuit of monetary gain. They firmly denied the claims related to misconduct from over 30 years ago, expressing their belief that the accusations are false and devoid of conscience or consequence.
These latest lawsuits come in the wake of Cassie's explosive lawsuit, filed on November 16, which alleged sex trafficking, sexual battery, sexual assault, and violations of New York City's gender-motivated violence law. Reportedly, Diddy had offered Cassie a significant sum of money to prevent her from proceeding with the lawsuit, an offer she rejected.
Just two days after filing, Cassie and Diddy reached a settlement of undisclosed terms. Notably, Diddy's legal team released a statement emphasizing that the settlement should not be construed as an admission of guilt on his part.
As the legal battle intensifies, Diddy finds himself grappling with a mounting number of accusers and serious allegations. The outcome of these lawsuits will undoubtedly have significant implications for both his personal and professional life.
