Electra Schrock, a 47-year-old resident of western Malibu, pleaded not guilty to one count of felony assault in a Los Angeles courtroom on Tuesday. The charges filed against her include assault "by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury," according to the L.A. County District Attorney's Office.
During the court proceedings, a judge also issued a criminal protective order against Schrock, further limiting her contact with Charlie Sheen, the alleged victim in the case. Representatives for Sheen have not yet provided a comment on the matter.
The incident took place on December 20 when deputies responded to a battery/disturbance call at Sheen's residence. Authorities confirmed that upon their arrival, they identified Sheen as the victim of assault and subsequently arrested Schrock. She was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, force likely to create great bodily injury, and residential burglary.
Law enforcement sources revealed that Sheen heard knocking on his door and, upon opening it, found his neighbor, Schrock, standing there. In an alleged act of aggression, Schrock forcibly entered Sheen's home and began grabbing at his neck. Sheen attempted to escape, but Schrock pursued him throughout his house. She allegedly grabbed his neck multiple times, causing his shirt to rip, before he managed to call 911 for help.
This, however, is not the first time Schrock has faced legal trouble. In March, she was arrested on another felony charge, and subsequently released on a $20,000 bond.
As the case against Schrock unfolds, Sheen's supporters and fans eagerly await the outcome of the ongoing legal proceedings.
