**Emma Mackey Lands Lead Role in J.J. Abrams' New Warner Bros. Feature**

Emma Mackey, renowned for her standout performance in Netflix's "Sex Education," has secured the leading female role in J.J. Abrams' forthcoming, yet-to-be-titled Warner Bros. film. The British actress will star alongside Glen Powell and Jenna Ortega, forming a trio of lead actors.

Having previously featured in Warner Bros.' massively successful "Barbie," which grossed over a billion dollars last year, Mackey is no stranger to high-profile projects. This new venture scripted by Abrams remains shrouded in secrecy, with its plot details still under wraps. Earlier speculation had connected the project to themes of time travel, but insiders have since quashed those rumors.

The movie is being produced by Abrams' own company, Bad Robot. Mackey's rise in the industry has been meteoric over the past few years. Recently, she garnered acclaim for her portrayal of Emily Brontë in "Emily," a film that reimagines the life of the famed author and earned her two nominations at the British Independent Film Awards.

Representing Mackey in her burgeoning career are CAA, Johnson Shapiro, and Ziffren Brittenham.
