- Earthquake Flash Report – 5/18 At around 6:17am, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake occurred offshore Eastern Aomori Prefecture.

- Russian troops fired missiles from Su-35 aircraft near Bakhmut, Soledar, Kalynove, and Vovchoiarivka, in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, according to sources
- Report of heavy losses during an attack on the barracks in the Desna center. Between 250 and 300 dead.
- 1 person killed, child severely injured in Russian missile strike on Bakhmut. Reports that rescuers continue to clear the rubble following a missile attack that hit a five-story residential building in Bakhmut city, Donetsk Oblast.
- An Eniks E95M target drone was found by Ukrainian troops. This one likely is not shot down but crash landed. Such drones are only used to draw out Ukrainian Air Defence systems for targeting.

- A grenade launcher exploded in the trunk of a car in Russian Mytishchi, reports local media.
- Four people wounded in a suspected terrorist attack targeting a restaurant in Bal’ad town of Somalia’s Hirshabelle State, Somali state TV reports.
- ️A bomb exploded in the southern Pakistan port city of Karachi. According to preliminary police reports, the explosive was planted in a motorcycle. At least 13 people were injured in the attack, including law enforcement officers
