Chinese brand Vivo has confirmed the global launch details for its highly anticipated X100 series of phones. The X100 series, which includes the X100 and X100 Pro models, promises impressive hardware and features, becoming the first phones to be powered by the brand-new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 flagship chipset.

While the initial launch took place in China last month, Vivo has now revealed that the X100 series will be available in select regions across Asia. Specifically, the phones will be released in India, Indonesia, and Southeast Asia. However, European customers will only have access to the X100 Pro model.

The pricing for the X100 series in India and Europe has not been confirmed by Vivo. However, the company did reveal that the X100 will be priced at 5,998 Hong Kong dollars (approximately $768), while the X100 Pro will retail for 7,998 Hong Kong dollars (approximately $1,024). It is worth noting that previous Pro and Pro Plus models from Vivo have been sold for as much as €1,300 (approximately $1,424) in Europe, so it is expected that the X100 Pro may fall within a similar price range.

As for the specifications, both the X100 and X100 Pro will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The X100 Pro, however, stands out with its 5,400mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It also comes equipped with a flexible triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP IMX989 one-inch sensor, a 4.1x 50MP periscope camera, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. The device also boasts a cinematic portrait mode that rivals the iPhone's cinematic mode.

On the other hand, the standard X100 variant offers a 5,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging, excluding wireless charging capabilities. It features a slightly less advanced triple camera setup, including a 50MP IMX920 main camera, a 64MP 3x telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultrawide shooter.

With the upcoming releases of flagship phones such as the OnePlus 12, Galaxy S24 series, and Xiaomi 14 series, Vivo is expected to swiftly make these phones available in the global market. Consumers are eagerly awaiting the X100 series, which promises to deliver outstanding performance and features in early 2024.
