Von Holzhausen explained that with inductive charging, Tesla vehicles would be able to simply park over a charging pad in the garage, eliminating the need for manual plugging.

The State of Michigan recently completed its first EV-charging road, and companies like WAVE have also been actively working on wireless charging technology.
