In a shocking revelation, Player 301, also known as Trey Plutnicki, from the hit reality series Squid Game: The Challenge, has disclosed an unusual method that contestants resorted to in order to ease their chapped lips during filming. The desperate players reportedly used lubricated condoms as makeshift chapstick in the dormitory, as revealed in a recent interview with Trey.

The 100 percent true anecdote emerged as Trey discussed the trials and tribulations faced by the participants during their time in the Squid Game: The Challenge dorm. Upon arrival, contestants were provided with a small bag of toiletries, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, and hand sanitizer. However, crucially, lip balm was not included in these supplies.

As days passed, the absence of lip balm began to take a toll on the contestants. Seeking relief, many players resorted to unwrapping the condoms provided on set, using the lubrication to moisten their lips. Trey clarifies that although he did not partake in this particular solution, he experimented with other items provided by production.

"During those trying moments, I tried using lotion and conditioner as well," Trey explains. "But after realizing they wouldn't alleviate the problem, I mustered up the courage to try the condoms. Surprisingly, within a day or so, all the condoms were used up. The situation was absurd, and even then, the makeshift solution didn't work!"

The memory of people persistently attempting to find relief through this unconventional method still brings a chuckle to Trey. He recalls how, despite the futile attempts, some individuals persisted in using the condoms, and he couldn't help but think, "Obviously!"

Thankfully, as time progressed, the production team intervened and provided individual tins of lip balm with the contestants' respective numbers on them. It was a much-needed relief for the participants, who had finally found a proper solution to their chapped lips. Regrettably, Trey ended up giving his lip balm to someone else moments before his elimination on the Glass Bridge challenge.

Reflecting on the incident, Trey laments not conserving his lip balm as a keepsake. Unlike the iconic tracksuit worn throughout the show, which needed to be returned, the chapstick could have been a cherished memento. "I asked the person to give it back to me, explaining that it had my number on it," Trey reveals. "But they responded with, 'I won't see you again unless you make it over that bridge.' I remember thinking, 'Great. Killer. Awesome encouragement.'"

While Trey missed out on securing the lip balm souvenir, he will forever hold the memory of witnessing others resorting to using condoms as chapstick. It serves as a testament to the ingenuity and desperation faced by the contestants in their pursuit of comfort during the intense challenges in Squid Game: The Challenge.

Viewers can catch the season finale of Squid Game: The Challenge on Wednesday, December 6, exclusively on Netflix.
