In an exciting update for fans of the popular action role-playing game, Diablo III, the Patch 2.7.7 PTR (Public Test Realm) is set to go live soon. With the PTR being a test server, players are advised to expect uneven game performance, as well as periodic maintenances, outages, hotfixes, or minor patches that may occur without warning.

One of the major highlights of this PTR is the introduction of two permanent features: Rites of Sanctuary and Visions of Enmity. These Season themes, which received positive feedback from the community, have been made a permanent part of the game. Players can now harness the power of the Altar of Rites and Diabolical Fissures to create unique Class builds and reach new levels of power.

To ensure that the significant class changes receive thorough testing and feedback, the developers are urging players to focus on the balance changes for all Classes. PTR-unique buffs will be active, providing increased experience gains and double Blood Shard drops. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to purchase new gear for testing from the special PTR vendor, Djank Mi'em, who will exchange Blood Shards for class-specific bags full of Legendary Items.

In order to efficiently collect feedback, the developers have created separate forums for PTR feedback and bug reports. They encourage players to provide detailed feedback about their experiences, focusing on how the changes made them feel and any potential issues they encountered.

With the limited duration of this PTR, participants are advised to pick a specific portion of the update to focus on testing. Whether it's analyzing the impact on a particular Class or suggesting adjustments for the future, the developers want the community's input.

The Rites of Sanctuary and Visions of Enmity Season themes have undergone some adjustments to maintain game balance alongside other features. Notable changes include decreased damage, reduced missile damage reduction, decreased movement speed, and adjustments to damage against elites and bosses. These changes aim to strike a balance between fun and challenge.

In terms of Class balance, the developers have made significant adjustments to various Classes to ensure a sense of progression and address power imbalances. For example, damage numbers for skills such as Earthquake, Avalanche, Leap, Shield Bash, Fist of the Heavens, and many others have been increased to provide a more satisfying gameplay experience.

To participate in the public test, players must have a Diablo III game license attached to a Battle.net account in good standing. The PTR is available in all supported languages, and accounts from all regions are eligible to participate. Existing Diablo III characters can be copied to the PTR, but only one region per account can be copied at a time and there is a 24-hour cooldown.

As players eagerly await the launch of the Patch 2.7.7, the Diablo III development team is excited to receive feedback from the community. The PTR offers a valuable opportunity to test the new features and provide insights that will shape the final release of the patch. Stay tuned for further updates and get ready to dive into the PTR and help make Diablo III a better gaming experience for all.
