In an exciting announcement for fans of both Mass Effect and Destiny 2, Bungie has revealed a new collaboration event with EA and BioWare. This partnership will bring Commander Shepard and the crew of the Normandy, or at least characters inspired by them, into the world of Destiny 2. The event will be available from February 13th, offering players the opportunity to join forces with the iconic Mass Effect characters.

During the event, Destiny 2 players can look forward to new cosmetics and in-game items. The Eververse store will feature a Normandy Crew Bundle, which includes a N7 armor set for Titans inspired by Commander Shepard, a Vakarian set for Hunters inspired by Garrus, and a Shadow Broker set for Warlocks inspired by Liara. Additionally, players will have the option to purchase the Omni Strike finisher and Flux Dance with Silver.

Aside from premium cosmetics, all players will have access to the free Alliance Requisitions Bundle throughout the event. This bundle includes the Enhanced Defense Ghost Shell, Alliance Scout Frigate ship, and Alliance Drop Ship Sparrow.

The Mass Effect collaboration announcement coincides with the launch of Destiny 2's Riven's Wishes event, which runs until March 12th. During this event, players can participate in weekly pursuits to earn tokens for Last Wish raid Deepsight weapons, Exotic gear from the Lightfall year, as well as event mementos and Ascendant crafting materials.

Furthermore, Bungie has also revealed the Moments of Triumph event, running from the announcement date until June 3rd. This event is said to "set the stage before The Final Shape" and offers exciting challenges and rewards for players.

It's important to note that Destiny 2's highly anticipated expansion, The Final Shape, originally planned for release next month, has been delayed until June 4th, 2024. Bungie explained the delay as an opportunity to perfect the expansion and ensure it meets their vision. This decision came after the studio faced layoffs in October, affecting approximately 100 employees.

Fans of both Mass Effect and Destiny 2 can look forward to an immersive crossover event, where they will have the chance to team up with the iconic Commander Shepard and his crew. With new cosmetics and in-game items available, this collaboration is sure to bring excitement and nostalgia to players.
