In response to player outcry over unfair spawn points causing endless slaughter in certain Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III maps, the game developers have temporarily removed four problematic locations from the multiplayer playlists. The decision to pull these maps was announced on the official Twitter/X account of the development team.

The maps that have been temporarily taken out are Rundown, Scrapyard, and Quarry from the Hardpoint playlist, as well as Karachi from the Cutthroat playlist. Cutthroat is a recently introduced 3v3v3 game mode resembling Gunfight, while Hardpoint follows a capture-the-point-like format. Sledgehammer Games, the developers behind the game, revealed that the maps were removed due to unfavorable spawns negatively impacting player experiences.

Players have reported being caught off-guard by bad spawn points that often place them in front of enemy camps, resulting in an unfortunate jumpscare. The removal of these maps from the rotation is seen as a positive step, as it addresses the issue of players being farmed for killstreaks and XP due to these problematic spawn points.

Although the temporary removal of the Four multiplayer maps may make the Cutthroat and Hardpoint playlists feel somewhat repetitive, it is crucial for the developers to investigate and resolve the spawning issues, ensuring a fair and enjoyable gameplay experience for all. Taking immediate action demonstrates the commitment of the development team to address player concerns promptly.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III was recently released for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. The game initially had an early access period for those who pre-ordered it. While the single-player campaign has been criticized for its brevity, critics have praised the exceptional gunplay, highlighting it as one of the best in the Call of Duty series in recent times.

As the investigations into the spawning issues continue, players will eagerly await the return of the temporarily removed maps and hope that the developers will deliver an improved multiplayer experience with fair spawns in the near future.
