Apple's iOS 18 Update Set to be the Biggest in Company's History, According to Bloomberg Report
According to a recent report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple's upcoming iOS 18 software update is expected to be one of the most ambitious updates ever seen for the iPhone. Gurman stated that within the company, the new operating system is being regarded as one of the biggest iOS updates, if not the biggest, in Apple's history.
While specific details were not included in the report, Gurman previously mentioned some of Apple's plans for iOS 18. These include the introduction of a new AI-driven system to enhance Siri, improvements to auto-completion features in both the Siri and Messages apps, and the addition of auto-generated playlists in Apple Music, similar to what Spotify offers.
The report also suggests that iOS 18 will incorporate generative AI into development tools like Xcode, making app development simpler. Applications such as Pages and Keynotes may also receive updates driven by generative AI. Additionally, the iOS 18 update is expected to bring RCS support.
The beta version of iOS 18 is scheduled for release in June 2024, following the WWDC developer conference. The official launch is planned for September. Gurman hints that more information regarding the update will be revealed by Apple soon.
With the release of iOS 18, Apple aims to provide its users with a significant update that brings new features and improvements to enhance their overall iPhone experience. As users await further details, anticipation grows for what could potentially be a game-changing update for Apple's iOS ecosystem.
