In a recent announcement, Alfa Romeo's Head of North American Operations, Larry Dominique, revealed that the iconic Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models will be discontinued in North America by 2024. This marks the end of an era for these beloved performance vehicles, known for their twin-turbocharged V-6 engines.

According to Dominique's LinkedIn post, the final orders for Quadrifoglio models will be filled by late April, and production will cease in June. He urged enthusiasts to seize the opportunity and order a 2024 Giulia Quadrifoglio or Stelvio Quadrifoglio, which boast a mighty 505-horsepower bi-turbo V-6 engine. This represents the last chance to own a Quadrifoglio with solely combustion engine technology as Alfa Romeo undergoes a transformation towards an electrified future.

Despite the bittersweet news, Dominique hinted at an exciting next chapter for the Quadrifoglio brand. While specifics were not provided, his mention of an electric future strongly suggests that future Quadrifoglio models will feature electrification. Alfa Romeo has already made strides in this direction, with the stunning 33 Stradale unveiled last year, which is available both as an internal combustion engine vehicle and as a pure electric version.

Speculation has been rife about the possibility of next-generation electric variants of the Giulia and Stelvio, especially considering the ongoing shift towards hybrid powertrains for enhanced performance. While Alfa Romeo has not provided further details on this matter, it is clear that they are embracing the electric future and preparing for what lies ahead.

It's important to note that while the Quadrifoglio models bid farewell to North America, lower-spec versions of the Giulia and Stelvio with the 2.0-liter engine will continue to be available in the region for the foreseeable future. Additionally, Quadrifoglio models will still be offered in other markets across the world.

As fans and enthusiasts prepare to say goodbye to the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio, one thing is certain: this is not the end of the Quadrifoglio legacy. Alfa Romeo is determined to innovate and evolve, promising an electrified future for their performance models. Exciting times lie ahead as we await the next chapter in the four-leaf clover's journey.

Inquiries for further information about Alfa Romeo's plans beyond North America have been made, but as of now, Dominique's statement remains the only official comment from the company regarding this matter.

Stay tuned for more updates on Alfa Romeo's electrification plans and the future of the Quadrifoglio brand.
