In an exciting announcement, Nashville Predators General Manager Barry Trotz revealed that the team had successfully acquired forward Jason Zucker from the Arizona Coyotes. In exchange for the talented player, the Predators traded the Dallas Stars' sixth-round pick in the upcoming NHL Draft.

Zucker, who is currently in his 13th season in the NHL at the age of 32, had an impressive performance with the Coyotes in the 2023-24 season. Throughout 51 games, he managed to rack up 25 points, consisting of 9 goals and 16 assists. His recent game against the Washington Capitals showcased his capabilities, as he recorded a goal and an assist, marking his sixth multi-point game of the season.

Known for his power-play prowess, Zucker has already netted four power-play goals this season. With an average ice time of 14 minutes and 2 seconds, he has also contributed five power-play assists and 74 hits to his team's performance.

Originally drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the second round of the 2010 NHL Draft, Zucker has since developed into a seasoned player, with 679 career games under his belt. Throughout his career, he has amassed an impressive record of 363 points, scoring 191 goals and providing 172 assists. Notably, he has achieved the milestone of being a six-time 20-goal scorer.

During the previous season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Zucker had a standout performance, recording 48 points and scoring 27 goals. This was his highest point total since his career-best season in 2017-18 when he tallied 64 points, with 33 goals and 31 assists. Additionally, he contributed nine power-play points and five game-winning goals to his team's success.

Aside from his regular-season accomplishments, Zucker also boasts an extensive playoff experience, with 46 games in various postseason series. He has accumulated 15 points during these games, scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assists. In recognition of his leadership qualities both on and off the ice, Zucker was awarded the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in the 2018-19 season for his humanitarian contributions to his community.

On the international stage, Zucker has represented the United States on multiple occasions. Notably, he has won three gold medals at the 2010 World Junior Championship and the 2009-10 U-18 World Championship.

The addition of Zucker to the Nashville Predators' roster is expected to strengthen the team's offensive capabilities. Fans can catch Zucker's debut in a Predators jersey during Ford Military Week, where the team will celebrate and honor active and retired heroes. The matches are scheduled for March 19 against the San Jose Sharks and March 23 against the Detroit Red Wings at Bridgestone Arena.
