Formula 1 enthusiasts were treated to a visual feast as the first day of pre-season testing in Bahrain showcased impressive technical features on the cars. The event, courtesy of Giorgio Piola and Sutton Images, revealed significant changes and innovations by the teams ahead of the new season.

Mercedes and Red Bull stood out with their detailed design developments. Red Bull Racing RB20 displayed a V-shaped radiator configuration within the sidepod, deviating from the traditional setup. Meanwhile, Mercedes W15 abandoned the zeropod solution, showcasing unique internal supports to maintain the floor's rigidity.

Haas F1 Team introduced a distinctive front wing diveplane design, featuring a double kick appearance and semi-detached flaps for enhanced outwash generation. Aston Martin AMR24 impressed with its pull-rod rear suspension layout and reintroduced winglet under the crash structure.

The Williams FW46 highlighted its underfloor and diffuser arrangement, while Alpine A524 showcased a notable P-shaped sidepod inlet design. McLaren MCL38 and Ferrari SF-24 utilized flow-vis paint to visually confirm aerodynamic performance, with Kiel probe rakes capturing crucial airflow data.

From unique cooling panel configurations to intricate steering wheel controls, the teams left no stone unturned in their quest for competitive advantage. With the innovative designs revealed during the Bahrain testing, anticipation for the upcoming Formula 1 season is at an all-time high.
