The decision to release Walker, a third-round pick in the 2018 draft, comes as he is due a significant raise in 2024. This move will free up $5.5 million in cap space for the Lions, although Walker will still count for over $7 million in dead cap. During his time with the team, Walker played 79 games, starting in 43, and amassed 398 tackles, 23 passes defended, and three interceptions.
