In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Brian Ortega marked his long-awaited return to the octagon with a remarkable victory at UFC Mexico City on February 24th. Facing off against Yair Rodriguez in the co-main event, Ortega staged a remarkable comeback after a rocky start to secure a third-round victory via an arm-triangle choke submission.

Ortega's stellar performance was duly recognized, as he was awarded a well-deserved $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus, marking the eighth post-fight bonus of his UFC career. The event also saw other standout performances being rewarded, with lightweight prospect Manuel Torres also claiming a Performance of the Night bonus for his submission win, and lightweights Daniel Zellhuber and Francisco Prado earning Fight of the Night honors for their electrifying three-round bout.

UFC Mexico City, which unfolded at the Arena CDMX, featured a headline matchup between one-time UFC title challenger Brandon Royval and former two-time UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno.
