### WWE and AAA Join Forces in Historic WWExAAA Worlds Collide Event
This weekend marks a significant event in the wrestling world as WWExAAA Worlds Collide will take place in Los Angeles. This is the first show combining forces between WWE and AAA since WWE's acquisition of the lucha libre organization in April. The show promises a display of vibrant talents, particularly emphasizing luchadors with appearances from stars like AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo, Psycho Clown, Pagano, and El Hijo del Dr. Wagner.
While the event is centered around lucha libre artistry, WWE plans on incorporating some of its own superstars into the mix. Notably, WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio and one half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Liv Morgan, are being discussed for inclusion. Although their participation has not been officially confirmed, sources from Fightful Select indicate that both Mysterio and Morgan are expected to make appearances through segments, steering clear of in-ring action for this occasion.
Dominik Mysterio holds a deep-rooted connection with AAA through his father, Rey Mysterio, who kicked off his illustrious career with AAA in the early '90s and famously participated in the landmark When Worlds Collide event in 1994. Furthermore, Dominik is the godson of Konnan, AAA's booker, who played a crucial role in mentoring him at the beginning of his career. This appearance will mark a nostalgic return to roots for Mysterio amidst the grandeur of a major WWE event, considering he isn't featured in WWE's upcoming Money in the Bank match directly following the WWExAAA show.
On the other hand, while Liv Morgan lacks direct historical ties with AAA, her impending involvement in the event adds a layer of crossover appeal between WWE and AAA talent. Morgan still has the opportunity to clinch a spot in WWE's Money in the Bank, should she win the final women's qualifying match tonight on "Raw" against Stephanie Vaquer and Ivy Nile.
The WWExAAA Worlds Collide event is poised to be a melding of traditions, showcasing lucha libre luminaries alongside WWE superstars, potentially setting a precedent for future collaborations in the wrestling universe.
