### WWE Star R-Truth Bids Farewell After Nearly Two-Decade Tenure
Ron Killings, better known to WWE fans as R-Truth, has announced his departure from the wrestling organization he has been part of for nearly 20 years. The 53-year-old wrestler shared the news via social media, expressing his gratitude to both WWE and his fans. "I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride. Thank you for all the love, support, and appreciation you have given me over the years. Thank you," Killings wrote.
Journalist Sean Ross Sapp subsequently reported that Killings’ contract, which is set to expire, would not be renewed. This decision marks an amicable parting rather than a release by WWE. Killings made his final appearance for the company this past Friday on "WWE SmackDown," where he faced JC Mateo. Notably, he had recently been involved in a high-profile match against the current Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event on May 25.
The news of Killings' departure reverberated through the WWE community, prompting emotional responses from several top-tier stars, including Rhea Ripley, Kevin Owens, and Big E.
Killings first joined WWE in 1999 but left in 2001, making a name for himself in NWA and TNA, where he became a two-time world champion and a two-time tag-team champion. He returned to WWE in 2007, embarking on a significant 17-year run filled with numerous accolades. R-Truth captured the U.S. Championship twice and enjoyed two tag-team title reigns alongside The Miz and Kofi Kingston.
Beyond his championship victories, R-Truth was highly celebrated for his comedic talent. His humor and charisma led to the creation of the 24/7 Championship, a title he held an astonishing 54 times between 2019 and 2022.
