### Woman Who Won Rape Case Against Conor McGregor Reports Disturbing Home Invasion

A woman who previously secured a legal victory against UFC fighter Conor McGregor for a rape accusation has revealed a terrifying home invasion where masked assailants attacked her household.

Nikita Hand, the woman in question, was granted €248,603 (£207,000) in damages on November 22, following a case concerning her 2018 rape allegation against McGregor at the Beacon Hotel in Dublin. During the first day of the trial, it was disclosed that her house had been targeted. Men wearing balaclavas forcibly entered her bedroom during the night, leaving her partner stabbed.

Ms. Hand’s young daughter quickly contacted emergency services by dialing 999, leading to swift police intervention. Although Ms. Hand's legal team did not explicitly accuse McGregor of orchestrating the assault, they suggested it be considered part of the evidence, hinting it was likely executed by his supporters.

John Gordon, representing Ms. Hand, posited that the invasion was a targeted attack connected to the accused, McGregor, suggesting it underscored the reason she felt compelled to move from her Drimnagh residence. Despite this, Judge Alexander Owens dismissed including the home invasion in the trial, arguing it could spur unwarranted speculation of McGregor's direct involvement.

McGregor's senior counsel, Remy Farrell, described the attempt to introduce the incident into the case as unprecedented and inappropriate, underscoring that it was irrelevant to the trial’s core issue. Judge Owens ultimately sided with this view.

The trial, which lasted eight days and included three days of final arguments, focused on accusations that McGregor assaulted Ms. Hand in December 2018. He allegedly restrained, choked, and brutally raped her. McGregor has persistently denied any wrongdoing.

Additionally, Ms. Hand faced a separate legal battle against James Lawrence, a friend of McGregor, for sexual assault. However, she did not prevail in that case. Conor McGregor expressed his intention to appeal the court’s decision, maintaining that the verdict was based on assault rather than aggravated or exemplary damages, and stated his disappointment that the jury did not hear all the evidence reviewed by the Director of Public Prosecutions.

In his response, McGregor emphasized his focus on his family and future, while LADbible awaits further comments from his representatives.
