In a bizarre turn of events, a woman in her 70s who had been pronounced dead at a nursing home in Waverly, Nebraska, miraculously came back to life at a funeral home in Lincoln. The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation into this perplexing incident.
The incident unfolded on Monday when emergency services received a distress call from Butherus-Maser & Love Funeral Home at 11:43 a.m. The caller reported that CPR was being performed on a 74-year-old woman. Earlier that morning, at approximately 9:45 a.m., the woman had been declared dead by staff at The Mulberry nursing home.
The woman, who had been under hospice care, was expected to pass away, according to Chief Deputy Ben Houchin.
