The attack took place in the 3900 block of Lankershim Boulevard, prompting an immediate response from the Los Angeles Police Department.
Initially, it was believed that the stabbing occurred as the woman was exiting the train at the Universal/Studio City station. However, further investigation revealed that the attack actually took place on the train itself, between the last stop and the Universal City station.
